If you’re looking for great Asian cuisine, you don’t need to look any further than right ‘Here’ in Flower Mound. At the beginning of September, Here Asian Cuisine opened at the corner of Morriss Rd and FM 3040. They have an incredible menu jam-packed with everything from classic Chinese classics to their own original sushi rolls.
Owner, Wells Wang, and his wife first got into the restuarant-owning business three years ago when they opened their first location of Here Asian Cuisine in Roanoke. But Wells has been working in the food industry for nearly 30 years, learning from chefs at several Asian cuisine restaurants over the years.

And now that they’ve expanded to Flower Mound, they have dreams to keep expanding! They’re looking at a third location near the new Tanger Outlets (which held their Grand Opening today by the way) off 114 and I-35W.
Wells and his team hope that when you come into their restaurant, you feel like you’re getting a five-star restaurant experience but for a fraction of the cost. And we can attest that their atmosphere and food is incredible.
Here Asian Cuisine isn’t quite like your typical Asian cuisine restaurant. They’ve got modern decor all over the place and they also have an incredible full-service bar with several TV’s where you can pull up and watch a game. All while sipping on a cocktail and eating a sushi roll.
I’ve actually been to Here Asian Cuisine quite a few times in the past couple weeks, so I’ve gotten the chance to sample several items off their menu.
One of our favorite things about their menu (if you’re a sushi fan) are their 50 State Rolls. They have a different sushi roll for each state, seeking inspiration based on the state’s geographic location, cuisine, etc. For example, the Connecticut Roll has a crab mix, tempura shrimp and spicy tuna – inspired by Connecticut’s access to fresh seafood. The Texas Roll features a spicy mayo inspired by our Tex-Mex cuisine. I’m working my way through all 50 states. Think you can beat me?
We asked Wells what made him think of doing a different roll for each state and he told us it was because he knows DFW is a melting pot – people relocate here from all over the country. So, he hopes that when they try their home state’s sushi roll, they’ll feel a little piece of home here in Dallas and in his restaurant.
In addition to their original State rolls, Here Asian Cuisine also carries all the classics like two of my personal favorites – the Spicy Tuna and California rolls.
If you’re not a sushi fan, have no fear. Here Asian Cuisine has plenty for you as well. Their Miso and Egg Drop Soups are delicious. We’ve also tried their Pecan Chicken which is absolutely delicious!
Some other great things to know about Here Asian Cuisine is that they’re working on setting up their delivery service and hope to have that available in the next couple of months. They also have a daily happy hour from 4-7 p.m., as well as daily lunch specials which are a great deal!
This really is a fantastic new addition to Flower Mound and we are excited to see where this growing business takes Wells and his wife next! But we’re glad they made a home here in Flower Mound early on!
