Voices of Flower Mound preparing to ‘Rock n Roll’ at fall concert

The Voices of Flower Mound community chorus performs at a past concert.

The Voices of Flower Mound chorus is getting ready to rock — and roll — next weekend at its annual fall concert.

The theme changes for each concert. This time, the local chorus and full combo band will perform toe-tappers from the 1960s-70s, including songs by the Beatles, Queen, Kansas, Fleetwood Mac and more.

“All the songs will be recognizable,” said Ron Miller, the group’s founder and president. “I’m pretty sure all of them were in the Top 40 at one point or another.”

Miller said the group has a lot of fun during rehearsals, but nothing beats the concerts.

“It’s fun to watch their faces light up when they hear a song they like,” he said.

The concert will begin at 7 p.m. on Oct. 14 at Flower Mound Community Church, 3415 Cross Timbers Road.

Advance tickets are available on the group’s website for $12 for adults and $8 for seniors and students. Group and family rates are available. Call 214-215-0895 for more information.
