The Flower Mound Fire Department recently welcomed back one of its special operations units after getting some tune-ups and upgrades.
Special Operations 504 was refurbished at the Wisconsin factory, according to a fire department post on social media. The truck now has an updated paint scheme, a larger generator, enhanced compartment configuration, new bumpers that include a trailer hitch, an improved winch and controllers and an upgraded LED light package.
The unit is stationed at Engine Company No. 4 and responds to Flower Mound and the area to assist with refilling breathing air cylinders for firefighting and dive operations, as well as providing additional scene lighting and other equipment, according to the department.
