Every time I mention Paradise Bistro & Coffee Co. in Lakeside DFW, I always talk about how eager I am to get back and sample their brunch menu. And now that they’re serving brunch on Fridays (in addition to Saturdays and Sundays) from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., this week I finally put my money where my mouth is and got myself back there to try out some of their most popular brunch/lunch menu items!
And I’ll just sum up the whole experience by saying, I was not disappointed! Our brunch actually exceeded all of the build-up in my mind!
With some recommendations from Paradise Bistro’s kitchen manager, Brad Morehouse, we were able to narrow down our selections from the many delicious-sounding menu items Paradise Bistro serves at brunch and lunch.
Let me start with their Chicken & Waffles. This was like dessert for breakfast! The perfect combination of flavors and textures – between the sweetness from the waffle and syrup and the crunchy saltiness of the fried chicken and peppered bacon. If you go for brunch, this is a MUST-ORDER.
You all know how I feel about Eggs Benedict, so I was thrilled when Brad suggested we give their Paradise Benedict a try. Paired with their side of hash browns, these were the perfect breakfast meal!
And off of their lunch menu we sampled the Albuquerque Turkey sandwich which is loaded with freshly sliced turkey, green chiles, avocado, mozzarella cheese and chipotle mayo. The roasted green chiles give what could be an ordinary turkey club sandwich a subtle kick which is complimented by the creamy cheese and chipotle mayo. And ordered with a side of their sweet potato fries – perfection!
And as a fun little treat to end our meal, we sampled some of Paradise Bistro’s truffles including their Caramel, Tiramisu, and Vanilla. Rich, sweet, delicious goodness. Definitely snag a couple of these to take home with you when you stop in!
Some of the other brunch/lunch items that we didn’t get to try this time, but are anxious to try on one of our next visits include: Paradise Avocado Toast, Breakfast Tacos, Egg White Sandwich, Paradise Chicken Salad and Adult Grilled Cheese.
If you’re like us and still have not gone to try out Paradise Bistro’s brunch menu, we’d suggest you definitely get over there this weekend! In addition to their wonderful entrees, they also have a Brunch Happy Hour where their mimosas are just $1 and the Bloody Mary’s are $5. The perfect addition to any good brunch!
