With planning well underway, Flower Mound is anticipating another memorable Independence Fest on July 4 at Bakersfield Park.
This year’s headliner is 80’s Canadian rock band Loverboy.
For more than 30 years, Loverboy has been “Working for the Weekend,” delighting audiences around the world. With their trademark red leather pants, bandannas, big rock sound, and high-energy live shows, Loverboy has sold more than 10 million albums because of arena-rocking hits like “Working for the Weekend,” “Lovin’ Every Minute of It,” “This Could Be the Night,” and “Turn Me Loose”.
Popular disco band Le Freak had so much fun at last year’s Independence Fest, they’ll be back again this year performing a variety of well-known disco favorites as well.
Last year, Independence Fest attracted more than 20,000 visitors and this year’s celebration is estimated to draw approximately 25,000 visitors.
Sponsors are needed for the family-friendly event that includes a fireworks show, a vintage car show, food, a Kid’s Zone, and more.
As always, Independence Fest will be completely free, including parking.
