I recently read your article regarding the investigation of Itmar Gelbman and his possible releasing of classified information regarding town incentives. The article also stated that he threatened other council members, city employees, and city residents all in an effort to maintain his power base and for financial gain. In my opinion, when an elected official is accused of such actions that person should be put on temporary leave until the investigation is complete to avoid any more conflicts or complications. If Itmar Gelbman is found guilty of the allegations he should be immediately removed from his seat and we should have a special election to replace him. An example should be made of him to deter this behavior from other elected officials.
