• The Denton County Master Gardener Fall Gardening Series kicks off tonight from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Flower Mound Senior Center, 2701 West Windsor Rd. Admission is free and tonight’s topic is soil preparation for fall and Texas native plants for local landscapes.

• The Greater FM 407 Lions Club is meeting from 6:30–7:30 p.m. at Bartonville Town Hall.

• There’s a Highland Village City Council meeting at 7:30 p.m. with a work session beforehand at 6.

• The Argyle Town Council will meet tonight at 6 p.m. and consider The Highlands of Argyle, a proposed 139‐lot residential subdivision.

• The high today will be 93 degrees with a low of 71.
