5 things to know today

It’s Friday! We made it. Here are five things to know today:

• It’s here! Finally, the day all Flower Mound fur babies have been waiting for. The town’s new dog park groundbreaking happens today at 4 p.m.

• Clear, sunny skies are on tap for today, with a high of 91 degrees and a low of 69 degrees at night.

• It’s National Doughnut Day, a celebration of the sweet treat and a nod to the WWI-era “Lassies” of the Salvation Army.
