MHS, FMHS cheerleaders raise almost $11,000 for good cause

For the past two years, Marcus High School cheerleaders have worked to raise awareness for the importance of breast cancer screenings through multiple Pink Out events.

Last year, MHS cheerleaders partnered with Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Flower Mound to fund the start-up of the North Texas Pink Out Breast Cancer Foundation.

This year, MHS cheer invited Flower Mound High School cheerleaders to unite with them to support the cause and the foundation.

This fall, both cheer programs sold pink out T-shirts and asked for megaphone donations during the “Mound Showdown” football and basketball games.

To date, the two schools have honorably raised $10,835, which was presented to the North Texas Pink Out Foundation board members just before tipoff at the MHS vs. FMHS Mound Showdown basketball game.

Way to join forces and support such a worth cause, MHS and FMHS!
