KFMB to lend a hand

Keep Flower Mound Beautiful’s Lend-A-Hand neighborhood cleanup day is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 17.

Volunteers will converge on a neighborhood in the Timbercreek area of Flower Mound to complete exterior repairs such as painting, fence, siding and wood rot repairs and landscape maintenance.

The Lend-A-Hand program helps Flower Mound homeowners who are unable to take care of home repairs due to age, illness or less of income and who are in threat of code enforcement citations and fines.

There is an application process by the homeowner and projects are selected based upon need and availability of volunteers and funding.

Volunteers are needed for all aspects of the Lend-A-Hand program, including planning, obtaining the necessary supplies or sponsorships or donating time on the day of the event.  Volunteers can sign up at the KFMB website.

For information or to make a contribution, contact KFMB at 469-828-9074 or at [email protected]
