Moviehouse & Eatery coming to Flower Mound

Southern Denton County residents will soon be able to stay in town for dinner and a movie.

Lakeside DFW developer Realty Capital Management announced Friday the addition of Austin-based Moviehouse & Eatery to be located on the northwest corner of FM 2499 and Lakeside Parkway in south Flower Mound.

According to a press release from Lakeside DFW, Moviehouse & Eatery offers an upscale movie and dining experience with reserved seating in plush electric-recliners with individual dining tables. An extensive menu is offered as well as a full-size bar with specialty drinks and local beers on tap.

Ticket prices will average only two dollars more than a traditional movie theater, and patrons who are not planning to see a movie can still utilize Moviehouse & Eatery’s lounge area and order food and cocktails.

“Moviehouse & Eatery is a perfect fit for Lakeside DFW and the Town of Flower Mound,” said Jimmy Archie, Managing Director of Realty Capital Management. “Their location in Austin has been very successful and we are excited they have chosen Lakeside for their next location.”

The 45,000 square-foot, free-standing theater will include eight auditoriums. Construction is expected to begin this May and take approximately one year to complete.

“Lakeside is a very special development and Flower Mound is the perfect community for our business,” said Leslie Sloan, co-owner of Moviehouse & Eatery. “The hard work and persistence of Mayor Tom Hayden and the rest of the Town leadership and staff over the past several months has been instrumental in helping us bring our concept to Flower Mound.”
