Flower Mound police investigate bank robbery

Flower Mound Police are searching for two men that robbed the Compass Bank at FM 2499 and Dixon Road on the morning of Jan. 28.

According to police, the men entered the bank around 9:30 a.m. and ordered employees to open the vault in the back.

During the robbery, one of the suspects displayed a handgun but no one was injured.

The suspects then left the bank in a black Ford Explorer in an unknown direction. The Explorer was recovered in a nearby business parking lot, and it is believed the suspects then fled in a second unknown vehicle prior to officers arrival.

The suspects are described as two males, unknown ages and race, ranging between 5-feet, 8-inches to 5-feet, 10-inches and weighing between 140 to 150 pounds. Both wore black hoodies, dark-colored pants, and a white handkerchief covering their faces.
