The Town of Flower Mound has replaced its law firm of over 20 years.
The Taylor and Olson law firm of Fort Worth was hired to represent the town and provide legal services, replacing Brown and Hofmeister.
In December, the Town Council sent out a Request for Proposals for the town’s legal services and made its decision after reviewing the submittals.
“On behalf of the Town Council, we would like to thank Brown and Hofmeister for providing Flower Mound with more than 20 years of outstanding legal counsel and representation,” said Mayor Tom Hayden. “During this time, Flower Mound has received numerous awards, including being named as one of the best places to live in the United States, and we appreciate the contributions Terry Welch and the Team at Brown and Hofmeister made to help establish and codify our Town’s Ordinances.”
Taylor and Olson has previously represented the town on several occasions and built their practice representing municipal governments throughout North Texas, according to a press release from the town.
Formed in 1997, the Taylor and Olson law firm currently represents more than 30 municipalities, including Southlake and Richland Hills, as well as numerous other cities and counties in Texas on special projects.
In addition, Taylor and Olson also represent the Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk Pool, a provider of workers’ compensation, liability, and property coverage for local governments in Texas.
