Warriors win big in first round of playoffs

The Liberty Christian football team coasted to a 52-6 victory over San Antonio Central Catholic in the TAPPS Division I first-round on Saturday.

Colby Moore rushed for two touchdowns in the game for the Warriors, and Drew Hunnicutt had a 70 yard interception return for a touchdown.

JonAaron Howell, Matt Marrs and Zach Keller all scored on touchdown runs for Liberty, while Jordan Brown caught a 53-yard touchdown pass and Cole Austin drilled a 25-yard field goal.

Liberty Christian (7-4) will face Austin St. Michael’s Catholic in a state quarterfinal playoff game this Saturday at a time to be determined.
