BNSF Logistics relocating headquarters to Flower Mound

Flower Mound officials announced Monday that Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Logistics, a Berkshire Hathaway Company, has signed a 10-year lease to relocate its global headquarters from Grapevine to the Lakeside Business District.

The Flower Mound office will manage BNSF Logistics Dallas market and international business from its 38,000-square-foot space beginning in November.

“We are pleased BNSF Logistics chose Flower Mound to relocate its global headquarters,” said Flower Mound Mayor Tom Hayden.  “The interest in the Lakeside Business District continues grow as companies rediscover Flower Mound with its close proximity to the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport, easy access to both Fort Worth and Dallas,  highly-educated workforce, and awarding-winning schools. Flower Mound offers all the right ingredients for businesses to be successful. Stay tuned as we announce more and more businesses choosing Flower Mound.”

Currently, the 1,500-acre Lakeside Business District has more than a 99 percent occupancy rate, with additional facilities being constructed. The town invested more than $25 million in road, water, and wastewater infrastructure improvements in the master-planned district.

“We are thrilled to have BNSF Logistics as part of the Flower Mound family,” said Economic Development Director Mark Wood. “The town is committed to attracting quality corporations like BNSF Logistics and the Lakeside Business District is a perfect match.
