Fall Fling will bring holiday blessings

It’s said, the philosophy of “one size fits all” doesn’t work in this society and Lantana-based Mission Moms agrees!  We treat each mission and each family individually.  Every mission is personal, for a specific cause, with a unique focus, helping extraordinary people.

Mission Moms will not be an outreach that blankets the needs as one big umbrella.  We understand the individuality of each child and we see these needs that are too often invisible to other programs and people.

What it truly means to be a neighbor is living side-by-side.  Our community has proven that we have what it takes to not only talk but walk the walk.  We have asked and you have risen to the needs here, in our backyard.  We know that we can count on you to help us help more children and families.

The Mission Moms Fall Fling will be held Saturday, Sept. 14, from 6-10 p.m. at the Lantana Golf Club.

Success from this event will provide meals for over 200 families for Thanksgiving.  Every family deserves to celebrate and cherish time together and reflect upon their own blessings.  Additionally, this event will provide the means for us to deliver the magic of Christmas to hundreds of children attending the schools here in Lantana.  The adult evening will include live music from the talented, local band, The Poor Kings (thepoorkings.com), dinner and impressive Silent Auction.

Like Mission Moms, The Poor Kings is a local band that is vested emotionally in helping the needs here, at home, in our backyard.  Purchase tickets at MissionMoms.org on the Missions Page or Mission Moms events on Facebook.  Kind people are brave people and our community is full of them and we need you!

Proverbs 3:27 – “Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act.”
