Argyle Lions Club members organized an appreciation dinner on July 29 at town hall for Argyle Food Bank volunteers (pictured).
The Lions Club also held a community food drive for the Argyle Food Bank and donated a new chest freezer that was presented to them during the appreciation dinner.
Argyle Mayor Peggy Krueger was the keynote speaker at the dinner and thanked everyone for their service.
The Argyle Food Bank, also known as the Myrtle Lee Lynch Food Pantry, has been in existence for over 10 years and is located on the property of First Baptist Church in Argyle, 414 N. Hwy 377.
Argyle residents can visit the food bank on Mondays from 9 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. For more information, visit their website.
Food donations are accepted during food bank hours on Mondays or church office hours, Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
The Argyle Lions Club meets at Argyle Town Hall, 308 Denton Street, on the first Tuesday of the month at noon and the third Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m.
