Griffin leads Wildcats to playoff win

The Guyer boys basketball team got off to a strong start in their post-season run Tuesday night, defeating Saginaw 63-39 to move on to the area round.

Justin Griffin led the Wildcats in scoring with 20 points in the game, while Miles Crawford added 14 points in the contest.

Zach Duncan and Joshua Jordan each scored seven points a piece against the Rough Riders, and David Dhaliwal, Sean Choate, Shelton Childress, Jerrod Heard, and Alex Partridge all combined for 15 points in the game.

Guyer moved to 24-6 on the season with the victory.

The Wildcats will play the winner of the Everman/FW Arlington Heights game at a time and date to be determined in the area round.
