Flower Mound chamber names new president

The Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors announced Wednesday that Suzanne Sutton was named to the post of President.

“After an extensive statewide search and hiring process we are pleased to have Suzanne lead our chamber staff,” said Lori Salsbury, Chairman of the Board.

“Suzanne has the work experience, skill set, and non-profit experience that the board identified as valuable to move the chamber to the next level.”

Sutton, a 25-year Copper Canyon resident, said that she is ready to take the reins of the 700 member chamber.

“I believe my corporate experience, combined with my non-profit background has prepared me for the fast-paced atmosphere of the Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce.  I am excited about creating new programs that benefit businesses of all sizes and demonstrate a tangible value to being a member of our local chamber,” said Sutton.

“My goal is to take the Chamber to the next level by understanding our current member’s needs, as well as create plans that will attract future members.”

Sutton has spent over 24 years in corporate America at Mattel Toys, Colgate Palmolive, The Quaker Oats Company and PepsiCo.  Sutton also served as a Sales and Marketing Consultant to Dallas area businesses.

Sutton is on the Planning and Zoning Committee for the Town of Copper Canyon, served as Lay Leader at Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church for the last seven years, is a motivational speaker, co-facilitates Leadership Training at Trietsch, and was Lead VBS Director for 15 years, serving over 10,000 children.

Suzanne and her husband, Robby, have three children and have been married for 30 years.
