Marauders miss playoffs

Defending state champs Marcus High School will sit out the postseason for the first time since 2005 after a 51-44 loss to Lewisville Friday night.

The Marauders edged out Lewisville 47-45 Tuesday night, but could not overcome Friday’s scoring blitz in the tiebreaker game by the Farmers’ Anthony Davis and Caleb Loggins.

Marcus finishes the season with a record of 15-21.

Lewisville (18-13) will face Colleyville Heritage (22-9) Tuesday in the Class 5A bi-district playoffs.
