Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce Chairperson, Jane Foster, announced today that Kathy Beahm, Executive Director of Membership Services, has decided to resign her position with the Chamber.
Beahm stated that she would “semi-retire” so that she could spend more time with her family and particularly with her seven grandchildren, ages 4 to 14.
Among her duties at the Chamber, Beahm headed up the Ambassadors Program that welcomes new businesses to town.
“Kathy has been an important part of the Chamber organization for the last five years and the many contributions she made to the Chamber over that time have been extremely valuable,” said Foster.
Foster said the Chamber does not plan on immediately replacing Beahm’s position, adding that they would, “use the resignation as an opportunity to look closely at the current organizational structure as it relates to the Chamber’s current needs as well as its future strategic direction.”
The Chamber Board of Directors has an annual, strategic planning session that is scheduled to take place in November.
Foster also trumpeted the vision shared by Flower Mound Mayor Tom Hayden at last week’s Chamber luncheon where Hayden shared the counsel’s desire to develop a symbiotic relationship between the Town and the Chamber to promote programs that would benefit both civic and economic development.
