Two students from Marcus High School in Flower Mound were awarded National Merit $2500 Scholarships, according to the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
The scholarships went to Jacob Daniel VanNattan of Double Oak, who intends to study biomedical engineering; and Jeffrey S. Nichols of Highland Village, who plans to study mechanical engineering.
Recipients are selected from a talent pool of more than 15,000 students. Finalists were selected by a committee and were judged as having the strongest combination of accomplishments, skills and potential for success in college studies.
