Argyle school board and town council candidates, along with a handful of residents, gathered at Argyle Town Hall Wednesday evening for a candidate forum sponsored by The Cross Timbers Gazette.
Those in attendance included council incumbents Joey Hasty, Dona Schroetke and Jackie Thomas along with residents Larry Simmons and Peggy Krueger. Two candidates, Joan Delashaw and Trey Thurston, were unable to attend.
In Place 1, Simmons is challenging Hasty.
The Place 3 race pairs Delashaw against current Place 5 councilmember Jackie Thomas.
Three candidates will face off in Place 5: Thurston, Krueger and current Place 3 councilmember Dona Schroetke.
The evening opened with statements from three out of the five school board candidates; Eric Fields, Spencer Jefferies, and Randy McKellar. Wendee Long and James Manos did not participate.
