Doors to the new Walmart Neighborhood Market in Flower Mound opened for the first time Wednesday morning at 8:00 a.m. following a ribbon-cutting ceremony filled with community and business leaders.
The new 55,000-square-foot store at 2800 Flower Mound Rd. in Lake Forest Plaza occupies the former Albertsons space that had been vacant since 2008.
“With our smaller format, our store is perfect for those on the go,” said store manager Anthony Porchia. “Whether they’re stocking up or need to pick up just a few items, our customers will be able to find what they need quickly and easily.”
Porchia presented checks to several local organizations, including $1,000 each to the Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce and Old Settlers Elementary School in Flower Mound.
The store will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
