Double Oak Police Calls

Recent calls reported by the Double Oak Police Department:

12-27-2011  4:07 p.m. – Alarm – 200 blk. Cross Timbers Dr. – Resident accidentally activated alarm.

12-27-2011  9:04 p.m. – Assist Agency (Bomb Threat) – 100 blk. Country Club Rd., Argyle – Double Oak Officer assisted Argyle PD with investigation of a bomb threat.  Nothing out of the ordinary was found by responding officers.

12-28-2011  6:40 p.m. – Solicitor Complaint – 200 blk. Carruth Ln. – Adult male going door to door attempting to sell items.  Officer made contact and explained the need for a permit.  The seller ceased soliciting.

12-28-2011  5:39 p.m. – Assist Agency (Accident) – 700 blk. F.M.407, Argyle – Officer assisted with traffic control at the scene of an accident.

12-28-2011  10:35 a.m. – Gas Leak – 300 blk. Waketon Rd. – Double Oak officer detected the odor of natural gas.  Further investigation led to discovery that Downing Middle School had a gas leak.  Flower Mound F.D. and maintenance personnel for the school responded.

12-29-2011  5:57 a.m. – Alarm – 8100 blk. Justin Rd. – Officers responded to a building alarm and determined that all was secure.

12-29-2011  12:32 p.m. – Disturbance – 100 blk. Chapel Hill Dr. – Officer responded to a family disturbance call and determined that both parties were arguing but a crime had not been committed.

12-29-2011  11:22 a.m. – Smoke Investigation – 3800 blk. Prairie Ct. – Officer was dispatched on a smoke investigation.  The smoke was being generated by a controlled burn.

12-30-2012  2:13 p.m. – Suspicious Vehicle – 100 blk. Valley View Trl. – A resident reported and unknown red vehicle, with no hubcaps, in their driveway.  Subject was gone upon officer arrival.

12-30-2011  8:57 p.m. – Disturbance – 600 blk. Cross Timbers Dr. – Caller was concerned that an adult male may be too intoxicated to drive.  Upon arrival officer met with the subject, performed Standardized Field Sobriety Testing and assisted the person in contacting an adult friend to take him home.

12-30-2011  7:09 p.m. – Assist Agency – 500 blk. Whispering Oaks Dr. – Double Oak PD was contacted to assist in the search for a vehicle possibly involved in a hit and run collision in Grapevine.

12-31-2011  4:00 p.m. – Suspicious Vehicle – 100 blk. Double Oaks Dr. – A resident reported a red pickup truck containing two white males sitting in front of his house while his daughters were playing outside.  The daughters reported the vehicle to their father.  When the father attempted to contact the driver they had already left the area.  Officer placed a directed patrol on the neighborhood.

01-04-2012  8:51 a.m. – Suspicious Vehicle – 100 blk. Valley View Trl. – A resident reported a black Toyota Camry driving slowly through Double Oak neighborhoods.  Officers were unable to make contact with the driver.

01-04-2012  3:25 a.m. – Assist Agency (Suspicious Person) – 500 blk. Waketon Rd. – Double Oak Officer assisted Flower Mound PD with identifying a suspicious person they observed on Waketon Rd.

01-04-2012  9:10 p.m. – Assist Agency (Disturbance) – 8700 blk. Crockett Dr., Lantana – Double Oak Officer assisted the Denton County Sheriff’s Department on a domestic disturbance call.

01-05-2012  12:55 p.m. – Solicitor Complaint – 100 blk. N. Woodland Trl. – Officer was notified about solicitors in the neighborhood.  Subjects were not located.

01-06-2012  10:33 a.m. – Theft by Check – 6100 blk. Plantation – Suspect attempted fraud by check to purchase a livestock trailer.

01-06-2012  5:15 p.m. – Animal Bite – 100 blk. Carruth Ln. – Child was bitten by the family pet.

01-06-2012  11:18 a.m. – Suspicious Vehicle – 100 blk. Maple Leaf – A resident reported an unknown vehicle in their driveway.  The vehicle departed rapidly when the resident opened their garage door.

01-07-2012  2:53 p.m. – Assist Agency (Suspicious Person) – 7000 blk. Justin Rd., Lantana – Double Oak Officer responded to a call regarding a woman acting strangely, speaking to herself and driving recklessly in Flower Mound.  Officer made contact and determined that the person was not a danger to herself or others.

01-09-2012  10:43 p.m. – Assist Agency (Shots Fired) – 200 blk. Squirrel Run Rd., Argyle – Officers responded to shots fired.  Unable to locate the suspect.

01-09-2012  10:30 a.m.  Theft by Check – 300 blk. Waketon Rd. – An unknown suspect attempted to steal money through check fraud.

01-09-2012  12:28 a.m. Assist Fire Department (Traffic Control) – 100 blk. Creekside Dr. – Double Oak Officer responded to resident’s house after a lightning strike.  Officer left the scene when Fire Department personnel and Co-Serv departed.

01-10-2012  8:17 p.m.  Assist Fire Department (Adult male on ground) – 300 blk. Oakview Dr. – Officer responded to assist FD with an adult male who had fallen inside his residence.

01-11-2012  8:45 p.m.  Alarm – 100 blk. Double Oaks Dr. – Officers responded to the alarm and found the exterior of the building to be secure.

01-11-2012  1:30 p.m.  Lost Animal – 200 blk. Meadowknoll Dr. – Resident reported that their Bengal Cat, with spots, is missing.  If you have found the cat or have any information please contact the police department at 972-355-5995.

01-12-2012  5:15 p.m. Criminal Mischief – 100 blk. Timberleaf Ct. – Resident reported that an unknown person shot an arrow into their roof.

01-13-2012  6:38 p.m.  Suspicious Vehicle – 100 blk. Tanglewood – A resident reported an occupied and unknown vehicle parked in front of their residence.  Vehicle driver departed towards FM 407 prior to officer arrival.

01-15-2012  3:20 a.m.  Assist Agency (Medical Call) – 1800 blk. Hickory Hill Rd. E., Argyle – Double Oak Officer dispatched to assist with a combative patient.

01-15-2012  3:24 p.m.   Assist Agency (Injury Accident) – 400 blk. FM 407, Argyle – Double Oak Officer assisted with accident investigation in Argyle.
