Wine Fundraiser Supports Local Charities
The Flower Mound Rotary Club is gearing up for the 6th Annual Vine and Dine: a Toast to Flower Mound Rotary Charities on Jan. 27 at Celebrations Grand Ballroom in Highland Village. Participants will enjoy several courses of dining, matched with complementary wines, a “Wine Stroll” to sample wines from around the world, live music and auction. Proceeds will benefit the group’s charities and civic service projects. Keynote speaker will be local radio talk show host, Mark Davis. www.flowermoundwinestroll.com

Get Hired This Year
The Flower Mound Public Library will host a Job Search program series on Jan. 21 and Feb. 4 from 1:00 to 4:30pm. Local Human Resources Manager, Barbara Cervantes, will present both programs. “Secrets from the Employer’s Side of the Desk” will cover resume writing suggestions, interviewing tips, and positive methods for differentiating yourself from other candidates. The second program focuses on the interview process and will cover interviewing in-depth in an interactive format.  Both seminars are free. Register at 972-874-6165.

Chowdown for Children
Cheer on your favorite chompers at the Champions for Children Chowdown supporting the Children’s Advocacy Center for Denton County on Jan. 19th at Johnny G’s American Grill on Justin Rd. Ticket to Ride
The Guyer High School Orchestra is selling Jim McNatt Auto Group raffle tickets through end of February to raise money for scholarships.
