Teddy bear drive brings Christmas joy

Liberty Christian School students donated 1,208 bears for the Teddy Bear Roundup this Christmas, school officials said.

“The total count of bears that our students from preschool to 12th grade donated means almost every student from Liberty bought a stuffed animal for a child in need,” said Toni King, academic advisor. “This number is above what has been given in the past.”

The Teddy Bear Roundup, which began at Liberty Christian in 1993, provides new stuffed animals for children in area children’s centers, the Salvation Army Angel Tree Project, and other organizations.
