Yes, Highland Village, there is a Santa Claus. Studio B Performing Arts Center will present an original adaptation, Claus: The Christmas Musical starting this Friday night.
The first act follows the little baby left on the stoop of a home of elves as he grows into the beloved Santa Claus. The second act is years later when Santa is too tired to deliver his gifts. Will Mrs. Claus come to the rescue or will the scheming sons of Mother Nature foil her plans?
Claus is adapted from the Rankin & Bass 1970’s Christmas specials Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town and The Year Without Santa by one of Studio B’s own students and Marcus High School senior Juliana Adame.
The show is directed by DeAnna McDearmont. Music director is John Green and choreographer is Elizabeth Nowell. The show features talent of all ages and is appropriate for families.
Showtimes are weekends December 2-11, Fridays & Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m.
