Lantana Brownie Troop 3780 recently participated in First Choice Power’s 9-10-11 program to raise awareness for those that go hungry and promote energy conservation.
To receive recognition for the program, each girl was required to support Hunger Action Month in September by doing nine things to fight hunger. They had to each collect at least 10 cans of food to donate to the North Texas Food Bank. Finally, they had to do 11 things to conserve energy and help the environment.
The girls ended up donating over 130 cans of food to an area food bank and received a patch from First Choice Power for their efforts.
