Hospital announces new president

Texas Health Partners today announced that Spencer Turner has been named the new president of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Flower Mound.

Turner returns to the Texas Health Resources family where he formerly served as director of radiology, respiratory and cardiology services at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman. Prior to his new role, he served as chief executive officer of Baylor Medical Center at Carrolton from 2004-2011, following a series of leadership positions in the Baylor organization.

In his 20 years in health care, Turner earned a successful track record for building and sustaining employee satisfaction, advancing physician engagement and improving operating performance., according to a press release.

Turner’s community involvement spans from his current role as the incoming chair of the board of directors for Metrocrest Chamber of Commerce to vice president of the organizational development division of the chamber. He also serves as member of the board of directors for Metrocrest Social Services.

Turner earned a bachelor’s degree in health care administration from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and a master’s in health care administration from Trinity University.

Turner and his wife, Karen, have two children, Morgan, 9 and Macy, 6.

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Flower Mound is a 103 bed, acute care hospital that opened in April 2010 serving Flower Mound, Lewisville, Highland Village, Lantana and the surrounding communities in southern Denton County.
