Officals of Lakeside DFW, the 117-acre, mixed-use project overlooking Lake Grapevine in Flower Mound, announced a partnership with Realty Capital Management, LLC to begin gathering citizen input to create the long-term development plan for the property.
Lakeside DFW, owned by the Stewart family of Dallas, has raised new capital from private investors to position the property for future growth as the commercial opportunities north of DFW Airport expand.
“We interviewed several firms which might help us to develop our family’s property,” said Peter Stewart, president of Lakeside DFW, Inc. “We selected Realty Capital Management because of its extensive experience with planning and developing mixed-use properties.
“Richard Myers and Jimmy Archie of RCM have successfully worked with the local governments in many of the upper-income suburbs in Dallas-Fort Worth over the last 20 years, so we think they are well-suited to work with Flower Mound citizens and officials.
“We are excited about the future of this property,” Stewart added, “and we believe RCM, working with the citizens and Town of Flower Mound, will create a first-class project that will be a source of pride and enjoyment for the Town of Flower Mound.”
Richard Myers, Managing Director of Realty Capital Management, said his firm is ready to begin work.
“We will meet with neighbors and Town officials to gather their input to create a plan for this project,” Myers explained. “After meeting with the neighbors, we would like to present an initial plan to the Town for their comments and suggestions.
“It will take a few months of research and meetings with the citizens before we are ready to present a master plan for the development that reflects the wishes of the Town of Flower Mound,” Myers added.
