AHS senior named to TCU cheer squad

Kristin Faciane, a senior at Argyle High School, was invited to join the Texas Christian University Cheer Squad after successfully competing in a nationwide competitive tryout process held in late April. 

Kristin is the daughter of Kevin and Susan Faciane of Argyle and was a three-year member and two-year Captain of the Argyle High School Varsity Cheer Team. 

During her cheer career at Argyle High School, Kristin was a three time National Cheerleading Association All-American Cheerleader.  Additionally, Kristin was long-time member of the Achiever’s Gymcats All-Star Cheer Squad of Denton coached by Valerie Standridge and was a key member of the Achiever’s Gymacats squad that won the National Cheerleading Association National Championship in 2009. 

In addition to her cheer success at Argyle High School, Kristin currently serves as President of the Student Council, Vice President of the Senior Class, and President of the Rotary Club.    

Kristin was selected by the Argyle High School student body as Homecoming Queen in the Fall, and is involved in numerous activities at Argyle High School and the Argyle community, including:: Founding Member of Students Standing Strong; AHS National Honor Society; Argyle Young Life; Fellowship of Christian Athletes; Teen Advisory Board for The Shops of Highland Village; Volunteer Cheer Coach for the Argyle Sports Booster Club; Volunteer Mentor at Hilltop Elementary School in Argyle; Member of Cross Timbers Community Church.

Kristin will be entering TCU’s Honor’s College this fall and plans to pursue a Pre-Med/ Psychology degree.
