Flower Mound is known as a family-friendly town and its top-notch schools. The bar on the quality of life is much higher here, due to the active democratic participation of its residents.
Since last year, I’ve had the opportunity to interact with numerous residents and present my input in many Town Council and Oil & Gas Board of Appeal meetings. I was actively involved in providing public input in numerous Oil & Gas Advisory Board meetings for strengthening our Oil & Gas Ordinances.
In the Oil & Gas Board of Appeal meetings, Kendra asked the tough questions to ensure that the protection of our town and residents was a decisive factor in deliberations. On the second Hilliard Field permit, she fought hard to keep drilling away from our schools and homes, and to prevent its approval. In various Oil & Gas Advisory Board meetings, she presented numerous suggestions to strengthen our ordinances. I was very impressed with her knowledge and dedication to protect us from the impact of urban gas drilling. Kendra also brings rich experience, based on 20 years of in accounting, finance and business strategy positions with Fortune 500 companies.
Kendra also recognizes the need to bring quality development to Flower Mound. With the DF-W connector project slated for completion by 2014, Flower Mound will be more accessible and competing with nearby towns like Southlake, Grapevine and Irving for quality business development. We want to keep Flower Mound “the best place to live” in the Metroplex by growing it smartly.
I am very excited about Kendra’s plans to further strengthen our oil & gas ordinances and bring quality business development to Flower Mound. As an independent candidate for Place 1, she brings a fresh voice to the table. She has the sincerity, integrity, leadership, analytical and business skills to represent the best interest for our town. I encourage you to vote for Kendra Stephenson for Place 1.
