Candidates for Flower Mound Town Council and Lewisville ISD Board of Trustees hopefuls gathered Saturday night at Flower Mound Town Hall for a televised forum sponsored by The Cross Timbers Gazette newspaper.
Three out of four Lewisville ISD school board candidates – Mike McDaniel, Reginald Johnson and Carol Kyer – appeared at the event and spoke for five minutes each at the beginning of the forum.
Flower Mound council Place 1 candidate Kendra Stephenson, Place 3 hopefuls Mark Wise and Elwood Leonard, and Place 5 council member Tom Hayden, who is running unopposed, answered questions submitted by newspaper readers and forum attendees.
Place 1 candidate Jeff Whittaker was out of town dealing with a serious family illness. Sitting councilmember Steve Lyda was invited to sit in for Whittaker to make opening and closing statements on his behalf.
The forum was videotaped by town staff and is being rebroadcast several times daily from now until Election Day on FMTV, the town’s government access cable channel on Time Warner channel 16, Grande channel 12, and channel 42 on Verizon’s FiOS TV.
