January 10
4:58 p.m. 200 blk. Oakview – Suspicious Circumstances – A concerned citizen reported an unknown male looking into mailboxes. Reporting Officer made contact with a teenage male from the neighborhood, who was not in possession of any mail, and spoke with him about looking into people’s mailboxes.
6:45 p.m. 100 blk. Oakview – Missing Mail – Citizen reported that he had heard a male was wandering around the neighborhood looking into mailboxes and that rebate cards he had been expecting had not been delivered.
7:55 p.m. 200 blk. Meadowknoll Drive – Noise Complaint – Officers were dispatched on a complaint about noise from a barn. Upon arrival neither officer heard any noise.
January 11
8:00 p.m. 1300 blk. Rockgate Rd. – Assist Agency – Double Oak Officer assisted Bartonville PD and Argyle FD with establishing a Care Flight landing zone.
9:20 p.m. 10000 blk. Lantana Trail, Lantana – Assist Agency – Double Oak Officer assisted Texas DPS trooper with traffic control while a vehicle accident was being investigated.
11:11 p.m. 3000 blk. FM 407, Argyle – Assist Agency – Double Oak Officer assisted Argyle PD with traffic control on a major accident.
January 14
3:37 p.m. 100 blk. Lusk Ln. Flower Mound – Assist Agency – Assisted Flower Mound Police Department with traffic control after a power pole fell.
January 15
5:40 p.m. 6000 blk. Kings Rd. – Administrative Duty – Caller wanted criminal trespass warning removed. Officer documented the request.
2:21 p.m. 300 blk. Oakview Dr. – Suspicious Circumstances – Unknown car was in caller’s neighborhood. Officer located the vehicle owner and determined he was in the area skateboarding.
January 16
6:08 a.m. 8000 blk. Justin Rd. – Building Alarm – Officer met key holder at the building. No crime committed.
January 17
11:41 a.m. 200 blk. Timberland Dr. – Criminal Mischief – An unknown motorist drove through the homeowner’s fence during the night. No suspect information at this time.
January 18
7:30 a.m. 200 blk. Carruth South – Stolen Vehicle – A resident reported his vehicle, a 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche as possibly stolen. Vehicle was later recovered in Lantana. Upon further investigation it is believed the vehicle was damaged by person(s) attempting to repossess the vehicle. The unknown wrecker / repo service driver struck a mailbox, causing damage in another part of the neighborhood. Any witness to the vehicle being picked up in Double Oak, or dropped off in Lantana, is asked to contact the police department at (972) 355-5995.
9:21 a.m. 100 blk. Carruth Lane West – Criminal Mischief – Homeowner reported damage to their mailbox (see above).
January 19
9:16 p.m. 200 blk. Fox Trot Ln. – Missing Person – Resident reported their husband as missing. Officer located the man and determined he was okay and heading on foot to get a cup of coffee from a store.
January 20
5:40 p.m. 100 blk. Twin Lakes Dr. – Suspicious Persons – A concerned homeowner reported suspicious persons in their neighborhood. Officer was unable to locate the subjects.
11:46 p.m. 800 blk. Hwy 377, Argyle – Assist Agency – Officer dispatched to provide cover to Argyle PD conducting a vehicle search.
