Double Oak Police Calls

Recent calls reported by the Double Oak Police Department:

November 22
12:51 a.m.  1200 blk. Dayton Dr., Lantana – Agency Assist – A Double Oak Police Officer was dispatched to assist the Denton County Sheriff’s Office on a family disturbance call in which an injury was alleged.

11:35 p.m.  600 blk. Seals Dr., Bartonville – Agency Assist – A Double Oak Police Officer assisted Bartonville Police with an alarm call.  No crime was detected.

November 24
8:16 p.m.  200 blk. Simmons Rd. – Shots Fired – A citizen reported what sounded like gunshots.  Officer was unable to locate the source of the noise.

10:13 p.m.  200 blk. Simmons Rd. – Fireworks Complaint – A citizen reported the use of fireworks within Town limits.  The officer made contact with residents who were hosting a party with bottle rockets for the children.  Residents agreed to cease discharging fireworks.

November 25
1:15 a.m.  400 blk. Canyon Oaks Dr., Copper Canyon – Agency Assist – A Double Oak Officer was dispatched to assist Denton County Sheriff’s Department on a medical call.  Officer remained on scene until the Deputies arrived.

3:47 a.m.  1000 blk. Road Runner, Bartonville – Agency Assist – Double Oak Police responded as cover for Denton County Sheriff’s Department on a family disturbance call.

November 26
1:25 a.m.  6000 blk. FM 407, Denton County – Agency Assist – Double Oak Officer was dispatched to a minor motor vehicle accident.

7:40 a.m.  200 blk. Kings Rd. – Theft – An unknown person or persons removed the stop sign at Kings Rd. and Lusk Ln. without permission.

10:42 a.m.  100 blk. Whistling Duck Ln. – Theft – An unknown person removed a blue bucket and a yellow bucket from the Complainant’s property without permission.

6:13 p.m.  200 blk. Cedar Crest Ln. – Suspicious Circumstances – A resident reported an unknown whistling noise outside of their residence.  Upon investigation by the responding Officer it was determined to be noise from a septic system which was corrected by the homeowner.

November 27
9:46 p.m.  300 blk. Waketon Rd. – Disturbance – Officers met with the complainant at the police department regarding ongoing dispute between parent and child.

November 28
12:07 a.m.  300 blk. Waketon Rd. – Animal Complaint – Officer met with concerned resident about ongoing problems.

December 1
3:05 p.m.  100 blk. Eagles Peak Ln. – Alarm Call – A cleaning person accidentally activated the residential alarm.

5:46 p.m.  200 blk. Rancho Vista – Welfare Concern – A resident was worried when they could not make contact with their spouse.  Responding Officer checked on the welfare of the person and determined everything was okay.

December 3
4:30 a.m.  200 blk. Lake Trail – Suspicious Circumstances – An officer was on patrol when he observed brake lights flash on a parked car.  Upon further investigation it was determined that two teenage girls occupied the vehicle and both admitted to having toilet papered a friend’s home.

5:32 p.m.  100 blk. Fox Trot Ln. – Credit Card Abuse Against Elderly – Elderly Double Oak resident has their credit card used without permission.

December 5
1:56 a.m.  100 blk. Wolf Run – Agency Assist – Double Oak Police assisted Bartonville PD with a prowler investigation.
