9:24 a.m. 100 blk. Timberleaf Ct. – Criminal Mischief – Unknown suspect spray painted graffiti on bridge and roadway.
11:26 a.m. 300 blk. Valley View Trl. – Disturbance – Officers responded to a disturbance in progress in which a misdemeanor assault citation was issued for Assault by Threat.
1:18 p.m. 200 blk. Oak Trail Dr. – Solicitor Complaint – Concerned citizen reported solicitors without permits in Double Oak neighborhoods. Officers made contact and explained the Town regulations. Solicitors elected to depart from area.
4:05 p.m. 100 blk. S. Forest Ln. – Welfare Concern – A representative for a local resident contacted the police department concerned about the citizen’s welfare.
8:06 p.m. 500 blk. Waketon Rd. – Minor Accident – Officers worked a minor accident at the intersection between two vehicles.
October 23
3:28 a.m. 8800 blk. Tyler Rd., Lantana – Agency Assist – Double Oak Officer dispatched to assist Denton County Sheriffs Office regarding three unknown men in the park at an unusual hour. Upon arrival officer was unable to locate anyone.
11:52 a.m. 1400 blk. Post Oak Ln., Bartonville – Agency Assist – Double Oak Officer dispatched to assist Bartonville with Criminal Mischief investigation.
11:08 a.m. 200 blk. S. Carruth Ln. – Alarm – Homeowner determined that activation was accidental and caused by children in the residence.
October 24
5:53 p.m. 1100 blk. Mason St., Denton County – Agency Assist – Double Oak Officer assisted Sheriff’s Department with domestic disturbance investigation.
October 25
3:10 a.m. 7000 blk. FM 407 – Agency Assist – Double Oak Officer dispatched to assist Denton County on a reckless driver. Upon further investigation it was determined to be a truck driver who feared he was being followed by unknown persons wanting to hijack his load.
6:17 p.m. 300 blk. Carruth Ln. E. – Solicitor Complaint – Double Oak Officer made contact with a solicitor without a permit. Solicitor agreed to quit trying to vend door to door until they could be in compliance with the ordinance.
October 28
8:38 a.m. 7700 blk. FM 407 – Assist Motorist – Double Oak Officer responded to stranded motorist. Motorist obtained assistance and departed the scene.
11:20 a.m. 100 blk. Thornhill Cir. – Suspicious Vehicle – Concerned citizen reported a suspicious vehicle. Subject departed prior to officer arrival.
8:23 p.m. 500 blk. Kings Rd. – Assist Motorist – Officer provided traffic control for broken down vehicle until arrival of the wrecker service.
11:00 p.m. 500 blk. Kings Rd. – Reckless Driver – Concerned citizen reported reckless driving on Kings Rd. Officer was unable to locate the suspect vehicle.
October 29
5:59 a.m. 400 blk. Crosstimbers – Animal Complaint – Citizen reported ceaseless barking from the neighbor’s dogs beginning at 5:00 a.m. Officer attempted to make contact with the dog owner, documented the complaint and are forwarding to animal control.
