Skydivers to jump start football game

The RE/MAX Skydiving Team, famed for jumping into municipal stadiums, festivals, and events across North America, will start the show this coming Saturday, September 11, at 6:00 p.m. at Fouts Field as UNT’s MEAN GREEN take on the RICE Owls.

“This is sure to be the most exciting kick-off to a football game you’ve ever seen,” said Kelly Hudnall, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX North Associates who is sponsoring the event.

“It’s exhilarating to see the American and Texas flags brought into the stadium from out of the skies.  This also being the anniversary of a day we will all remember, September 11, 2001. The parachutists glide down onto the field and present the game ball to the referee  to start the game!  You want to be sure and be in your seats early to not miss this amazing site!”

The RE/MAX Skydiving Team freefalls at over 200 miles per hour before deploying their sport parachute canopies, and will be available for autograph signings following their jump.   Nationally, the skydivers’ performance has been called the greatest entrance in outdoor sporting festivals.

“We’re really excited to be able to bring this show to Denton for all the football fans in the area,” said Julie Stokes, VP of Business Development for RE/MAX North Associates.

“The RE/MAX Skydiving Team jumps into Texas Motor Speedway, Six Flags over Texas, and collegiate football games across the country.   It’s really a great way to begin the game, so we hope everyone will arrive early!”

RE/MAX North Associates will be there early, with tailgating starting at 3:00 p.m. along with fun activities for the kids.  Purchase your tickets by calling the UNT Ticket Office at (940) 565-2527.
