Double Oak Police Calls

Recent calls reported by the Double Oak Police Department:

August 6
2:00 p.m.  320 Waketon Rd. – Assist Agency – Double Oak Officer assisted Flower Mound Patrol with identification of a Prescription Fraud suspect.

11:30 p.m.  200 blk. Oak Trail – Suspicious Circumstances – Double Oak Officer observed a male hiding under a pickup truck.  Upon further investigation an additional male was located in the bed of the truck.  Both persons were Double Oak residents who thought it would be funny to hide from passing cars.  Individuals agreed their actions were a bad idea and were released at the scene.

August 7
8:10 a.m.  500 blk. Kings Rd. – Warrant Arrest – Double Oak Officer made a traffic stop for a broken tail light.  A subject check revealed that the 25 year old vehicle operator was wanted by another agency.  The officer confirmed the warrant and transported arrestee to the Denton County jail.

August 9
9:48 a.m.  100 blk. Fox Trot Ln. – Theft – Citizen reported a stolen trash can.  It was determined that Waste Management had recovered the container.

10:00 a.m.  200 blk. Meadow Knoll – Suspicious Circumstances – Citizen reported concerns about circumstances regarding a missing pet.

August 10
12:40 p.m.  200 blk. S. Carruth – Alarm Call – Alarm accidentally triggered by home owner.

August 11
12:13 a.m.  1000 blk. Hwy 377, Argyle – Assist Agency – Double Oak Officer assisted Argyle Police Officer with reckless / intoxicated driving investigation.

August 12
7:25 p.m.  300 blk. Oakview – Suspicious Circumstances – Concerned citizen reported person going door to door.  It was determined that the vendor was visiting with established customers and conducting a satisfaction survey.

7:53 p.m.  6100 blk. Plantation – Regulatory Complaint – Citizen concerned about neighbor vending out of their house.  Citizen was given information to contact Code Enforcement.

10:45 p.m.  9000 blk. Charles Ln., Lantana – Assist Agency – Double Oak Officer dispatched to assist Denton County with complaint regarding juveniles playing in the roadway.  The children were gone from the location prior to the officer’s arrival.

August 13
3:26 p.m.  6000 blk. Pepperport Ln. – Harassment – Citizen reported harassing phone calls and text messages from a known suspect.
