Denton County Republicans went to the polls Tuesday and elected nominees for two county judges, Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace and a Texas Supreme Court member in the GOP primary runoff election.
Kimberly McCary edged out Chance Oliver for Judge, County Court at Law #1 nomination; Bonnie Robison topped Robert Ramirez by 352 votes for the nomination to the Probate Court bench; Judge Debra Lehmann edged out Rick Green for the Republican nomination for Texas Supreme Court, Place 3; and Scott Smith was unsuccessful in his quest to challenge incumbent J.W. Hand for the nomination for Justice of the Peace, Pct. 4.
