Model home burglary caught on video

Two suspects were recently caught on tape burglarizing a model home in the Argyle Town Village development.

Argyle police said that around 7:00am on Nov. 18, someone kicked in the front door of the home in the 400 block of Village Way and quickly made off a flat screen plasma television.

“We responded within three minutes of notification from the alarm company, but the suspects had already gone,” said Argyle Police Chief William Tackett.

Surveillance video from the model home heist shows at least two men driving a white Chevrolet cargo van.

Investigating officers discovered that a house under construction nearby had also been broken into and $3,000 worth of appliances were taken, including a Jenn Air range, dishwasher and microwave.

Argyle police are asking anyone who recognizes the individual in the picture to call 940-464-7254 and to report any suspicious activity immediately by calling the Denton County Sheriff’s Dispatch at 940-349-1600 or 911.

Denton County Crime Stoppers is also offering up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspects. Tips can be reported to at 1-800-383-TIPS (8477).
