Weekend events cancelled due to weather

flooding-cxl-weekend-eventsThe wild weather has really made a washout of parts of South Denton County, stalling events around the area. Here are some of the planned activities that have been cancelled or rescheduled:

The “Cars and Coffee” fundraiser for the Double Oak Women’s Club is postponed until Saturday, June 6 from 9 a.m. to noon. It had been planned for this coming Saturday. The event will be held at the Downing Middle School parking lot on Waketon Road.

The Argyle Chamber of Commerce golf tournament has been rescheduled for noon on June 29. It had been slated for this Saturday as well. There are still a few spots open though, so if you want to be tee off with the other players, you can still register.

And the Movie in the Park event scheduled for Friday has also been cancelled. Dolphin Tale 2 will not be shown at Unity Park and no reschedule date has been posted.

If you were planning on heading out to Grapevine’s SummerBlast fireworks on Friday, that event has been cancelled. Both the May 29 and June 5 shows will not take place. The remaining shows are still planned, pending water levels at Grapevine Lake. You can keep up with any changes to the schedule so you don’t miss out.
