A love for coffee truly knows no age boundaries for its taste, boost and just the way it makes you feel. For centuries the brown brew has been equated with neighborly chats, relaxation and social life and for the seniors living in Flower Mound there is a new space to enjoy all those things with a hot cup of Joe.
The coffee bar at the newly christened Flower Mound Senior Center offers a sense of community and that’s part of the reason Avanti Senior Living backed the project.
“The coffee bar will be an excellent space for seniors to gather and enjoy cozy conversation, as well as a place for reading, writing and much more,” said Lori Alford, Avanti COO.
Avanti is planning a $55 million, 77,000-square-foot senior living residence to open in Flower Mound early next year. The company donated $1,000 toward the construction of the coffee bar at the new Seniors in Motion senior center.
“We couldn’t be more delighted to offer this donation to such a supportive and engaging group,” said Avanti CEO Tim Hekker.
