Double Oak Police Calls

Recent calls reported by the Double Oak Police Department:

12-05-2011  2:09 p.m. – Single Car Accident – 7800 blk. F.M. 407 – A motorist on FM 407 experienced a medical problem, passed out, and collided with the guard rail on the North side of the road.  Driver was transported to the hospital.

12-05-2011  7:42 p.m. – Parking Violation – 300 blk. E. Carruth – A roofing contractor was repeatedly leaving an unmanned vehicle parked in the roadway overnight.

12-05-2011  9:42 p.m. – Reckless Driver – F.M. 407 and Cedar Crest – A citizen reported reckless driving by a motorist.  Officer was unable to locate the reckless driver.

12-06-2011  12:10 p.m. – Suspicious Vehicle – 300 blk. Oakview Dr. – A resident reported a suspicious vehicle in their neighborhood.  Upon arrival the patrol officer determined the car to be broken down and the drive had walked to their residence for help.

12-06-2011  1:13 p.m. – Parking Violation – 200 blk. Meadowknoll Dr. – A caller reported an eighteen wheeler blocking traffic.  Truck was gone upon officer arrival.

12-08-2011  3:21 p.m. – Alarm – 100 blk. Creek Side Dr. – Officers responded to a residential alarm call, checked the residence and spoke with the homeowner.

12-09-2011  8:54 p.m. – Shots Fired – 100 blk. Brown Cliff – Officer responded to possible shots fired call in the vicinity of Kings Rd. and Lusk Ln.  Flower Mound Police Department assisted in the area search for suspect(s).

12-10-2011  12:17 a.m. – Assist Agency (Disturbance) – 1000 blk. James Price Ct., Bartonville – Double Oak officer assisted as a cover unit for a disturbance at a residence in Bartonville.

12-12-2011  8: 14 p.m. – Criminal Mischief – 300 blk. Thornhill Cir. – A resident’s mailbox was knocked over by an unknown suspect.

12-12-2011  8:43 p.m. – Suspicious Activity – 100 blk. Hawk Crest Ln. – Multiple residents reported unknown suspect(s) ringing their doorbells and then running away.

12-13-2011  6:35 p.m. – Arrest – 100 blk. Simmons Rd. – A patrol officer observed a car traveling at 45 mph in a 30 mph zone northbound on Simmons Rd.  Upon further investigation it was determined that a passenger in the car was wanted for a warrant issued by the Denton Police Department.  Passenger was arrested and transported to jail.

12-14-2011  12:03 a.m. – Assist Agency (Medical Call) – 1300 blk. Golf Club Dr., Lantana, TX – Two Double Oak Officers responded to a life alert / medical emergency call regarding an adult male on the floor in the residence.  Officers remained on scene with emergency medical personnel until arrival of the Denton County Sheriff’s Office.

12-17-2011  11:11 a.m. – Suspicious Vehicle – 100 blk. Fox Trot Ln. – A resident observed a black BMW parked in front of a neighbor’s house.  Further investigation determined that the driver of the car was the neighbor’s son.

12-17-2011  3:22 p.m. – Solicitor Complaint – 300 blk. Carruth Ln. E. – A resident reported a solicitor without a permit going door to door.  Vendor was gone prior to police arrival.

12-17-2011  8:49 p.m. – Parking Violation – 200 blk. Timberleaf Dr. – A concerned citizens reported cars parked on both sides of the roadway restricting access for emergency vehicles.  Visitors attending a local party were contacted and cars were moved to one side of the roadway.

12-19-2011  9:49 a.m. – Suspicious Vehicle – 100 blk. Forest Oak Ct. – A resident reported a suspicious vehicle / person.  Upon further investigation it was determined that the suspicious person was an insurance adjuster.

12-19-2011  4:44 p.m. – Criminal Mischief – 700 blk. Simmons Rd. – Unknown person(s) vandalized Christmas decorations in a front yard causing substantial inconvenience for the homeowner.

12-19-2011  6:01 a.m. – Suspicious Person – 5400 blk. Chinn Chapel Rd. – A passerby reported a white male wearing a hoodie and carrying a skateboard acting odd.  Subject was gone prior to officer arrival.

12-21-2011  8:04 a.m. – Criminal Mischief – 100 blk. Lake Trail Dr. – Unknown person(s) spray painted words on a residential garage door and detonated a firework in the mailbox.

12-22-2011  1:49 p.m. – 100 blk. W. Carruth – Alarm – Officer responded to a residential alarm call and found no evidence of a break in.

12-22-2011  3:07 p.m. – 100 blk. Chinn Chapel, Rd. – Minor Accident – A motorist accidentally drove through a “T” intersection and into a residential fence causing damage.

12-23-2011  5:40 p.m. – 100 blk. Forest Ln. S. – Abandoned Vehicle – Officer located the owner of the abandoned vehicle through a neighbor.  Owner of the vehicle promised they would remove the car from the area.

12-25-2011  4:09 p.m. – 800 blk. FM 407 – Assist Agency – Double Oak PD Officer assisted Argyle FD with a vehicle search.
