They got the beat

The Flower Mound High School Varsity Drumline took top honors at the LoneStar Classic Drumline Competition on Nov. 6th at the new Marcus High School stadium.

Flower Mound received the Row-Loff Best Percussion Performance Award – recognizing the drumline earning the highest net score of the day’s competition – as well as taking first place in the marching division, and best snare and tenor line in the same division.

Lewisville High School took the third place award in the marching division and the best cymbal line in the same division.

The LoneStar Classic is the largest drumline competition in the state of Texas. This year, more than 80 drumlines competed in five divisions.

The Marcus High School Percussion program has hosted the annual competition since 1993.
