Guitars & Growlers — a one-stop shop for food, handcrafted guitars, craft beer and live music — is holding a soft opening this weekend for its new location in Flower Mound.
Friends Amy Baker and Susan Elbediwi partnered to bring the third Guitars & Growlers location to 400 Flower Mound Road, Suite 160. Baker’s husband, Robert, is combining two of his passions, building guitars and sampling beer, under one roof. Robert, a self-taught luthier, has been building guitars under the HiTone Guitars brand since 2003.
The new location will have 29 beers on tap, handmade guitars by local guitar builders, and a menu featuring different kids of sandwiches, charcuterie boards, wings, appetizers and more. Beer is available to-go. There will be live music or events every night, happy hour from 3-6 p.m. every weekday and other specials. The patio will be opened soon.
Amy Baker said they’d been looking around North Texas for a third location when they found the space in Flower Mound and thought it’d be a perfect fit.
“Our biggest goal is to get involved in the community, and this is such a great neighborhood,” she said, adding that Guitars & Growlers plans to hold events and parties for local businesses, fundraisers for schools and more.
Starting Monday, the business will open at 11 a.m. seven days a week, closing at 9 p.m. on Sundays, 11 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and midnight on Friday and Saturday nights. For the soft opening, however, this week it’ll only be open limited hours Friday and Saturday, from 4-11 p.m. each evening.
