Byron Nelson High School senior Maggie Barnett earned the title of 2019 Miss Majorette of Texas following her performance at the Texas State Baton Twirling Championships, one of the top honors for the discipline in the state, according to a news release from Northwest ISD.

In addition to her recent state victory, Maggie was recently one of just 14 baton twirlers selected to represent the United States as goodwill ambassadors to Peru during the 69th International Festival of Springtime.
