The Flower Mound Police Department is investigating an auto-pedestrian accident that occurred on Sunday evening.
Police said a 40-year-old male was struck by a vehicle while crossing the westbound lanes of FM 3040 at Morriss Road around 5:41 p.m.
A preliminary investigation did not show impairment by the driver or pedestrian, nor was excessive speed a factor, police said.
The man was transported to a Plano trauma center with head injuries.
The westbound lanes of FM 3040 were closed for several hours after the accident.
