To pay online, go to www.tax.dentoncounty.com and select ‘Property Tax’ and ‘Pay Property Tax Online.’ The Bureau Code for Denton County is 3368661.

A property owner may also escrow their taxes for the following year. The escrow agreement allows a taxpayer to pay toward their taxes each month in preparation for the following year taxes.

Those that do not receive a tax statement by November 10th should contact the Tax Office.

“It is important that a property owner contact us if they do not receive their tax statement. We need to know if a person has not received their statement to ensure the proper information is reflected in the tax records,” said Michelle French, Denton County Tax Assessor/Collector.

Property owners can download a copy of their tax statement from the website or request that the statement be emailed.

All property taxes must be paid by January 31, 2018 to avoid penalties and interest. The Tax Assessor-Collector is restricted from waiving or reducing penalty and interest assessed on a delinquent tax.

Payments are accepted at any of the six tax office locations in Denton County. Tax Office wait times for personal service, office locations and hours of operation can be found at www.tax.dentoncounty.com.
