Future daycare in Flower Mound delayed, but still underway

A future Flower Mound daycare was delayed, but construction work is getting back on track, said Town Manager Jimmy Stathatos.

Construction began recently after Children’s Learning Adventures Childcare Centers received approval from Flower Mound Town Council for a new location at 3101 Cross Timbers Road, but the project ran into delays.

“Several months ago, there were some funding issues,” Stathatos said. “But we have been told that now they’re moving ahead, and they should be calling for a foundation inspection within 45 days.

“We haven’t heard anything about additional funding issues or the project being dead.”

Despite several attempts to contact a representative at Children’s Learning Adventures, no one could be reached for comment.

Stathatos did not know the estimated timeline on the project.
